2. Set an advanced filter
We’re searching for words that are already ranking well in Google but might be improved upon further. Using an Advanced Filter, we may narrow down our search to only the terms for which we score highly, but not too highly. This is what the filter looks like in action. The concept is that a page with a ranking greater than 10 would appear prominently on page two. Assuming there are 10 organic search listings on page one, which isn’t the case, we can make this work if we pretend there are 10 organic search listings on page one.

3. Sort the report by rankings
We’re seeking for words that are already ranking well in Google but might be improved upon. An Advanced Filter is required to identify just those terms for which we score highly, but not excessively so. This is what the filter looks like on the computer screen: In theory, a page with a ranking greater than 10 will appear prominently on page two of Google searches. Assuming there are 10 organic search listings on page one, which isn’t the case, we can make this work by assuming there are 10 organic search listings on page one.
In Google, you’ll find yourself on page two.
You’re just a hair’s breadth away from reaching a critical mass.
ProTip! Make an Analytics “Shortcut”
The Queries report that has been filtered and sorted may be saved as a shortcut. This will make it easier for you to travel to the location next time. Simply select the “Shortcut” option from the drop-down menu above the report, give it a name, and click OK. The report will now be accessible at any time via the left-hand navigation of Google Analytics’ interface.
4. Dig through this list, find phrases and confirm the rankings

Please keep in mind that there is no such thing as a completely unbiased search. It’s for this reason that A/B testing for Google rankings is not viable. There are a plethora of Google search engine variations available!
So don’t be too concerned about attempting to remain incognito. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the statistics to be correct. You’re just interested in finding hints. Find a page that ranks for a term, but not too high on the search engine results page. Great. Let’s keep moving forward!
6. Check to see how the phrase is used on the page
We’re interested in seeing how effectively the website was optimized for the keyword at this point. If so, does the phrase show correctly on the page in the appropriate places? Was the page showing that it was relevant? It’s conceivable that the term didn’t exist at all on the page in question. It’s possible that the ranking was determined by chance alone. If this is the case, you now have the option to show importance and so enhance the ranks with minimal effort on your part. Here’s how to perform the verification: Just like you would in a Word document, you may search for the term while viewing the page (using the control+F or command+F on a Mac) by pressing the F key.
