10 Easy Steps to be a More Productive Blogger

In order to prevent your blog from collapsing and becoming extinct, you must devote some of your time to learning how to become a more prolific writer. This blog post will assist you in understanding how to become a more prolific blogger in ten simple stages, which are detailed below. There were just 23 blogs on the internet in 1999, according to statistics. There are more than 500 million blogs on the internet today, with the majority of them failing to gain attention. Do you believe that all of them will be successful?

You must write more quickly and publish more effectively.

Don’t allow the effects of blank page syndrome, poor time management, and a lack of an efficient blogging approach suffocate your efforts.

Here’s what you need to do in order to expand your blogging business: You might also be interested in:The best tactics for becoming a more productive blogger!

1. Schedule your writing

A little planning and preparation may go a long way. Quality and a defined timetable should be your primary concerns whether you want to post one blog per month or more than 30 blogs per month. It is preferable to publish one excellent blog article weekly or biweekly rather than a large number of small pieces every day. The fact that the more content you post, the more traffic you receive, however, stays unchanged. When it comes to posting, the day doesn’t matter as long as the material you provide motivates the audience.

  • Keep in mind that consistency is the key to achieving success.
  • Determine your most effective working hours in order to generate the most material possible.
  • If possible, utilize an online calendar or Google sheet to organize your monthly or yearly schedule, which should include publication dates, keywords, content ideas, and other important details.
  • Once you’ve built an editorial schedule, be sure you stick to it and keep it up to date on a regular basis.

2. Identify and understand your audience

Who is it that you are blogging for? Do you want to use your blog to promote a product or service for sale? Do you have a clear understanding of your target markets? Your content marketing strategymust clearly specify who you are trying to reach with your content. The target audience of a blog is a set of people who will derive the greatest benefit from the information it contains. For example, if your target market consists of first-time parents, be sure to publish something that will be useful to them in their daily life.

One of the most common reasons why bloggers fail is because they write with an abstract audience in mind.

Because of this, it’s vital that you identify your blogging specialty.

Market research will assist you in answering a variety of questions. Learn more about how to target your ideal audience by reading this article.

3. Use productivity tools

The tools available to you now were not available to me when I started my first blog ten years ago. The internet provides a plethora of productivitytools intended just for bloggers in order to save time and energy. Productivity tools may help you through the whole process, from tracking time and honing your material to writing notes and doing performance analysis. Here are a few of the most useful tools for bloggers to know about:

  • Grammarly, Evernote, Google Docs, Hemingway, Trello, Loom, and Sendible are just a few of the tools available.

If you want to build your blog as a company, make sure you have the key productivitytools in your bloggingtoolkit at your disposal. Almost all of your blogging tasks may be completed online using a variety of tools.

4. Create your own templates

Templates are quite popular among digital marketers for a variety of content marketing strategies. As a blogger, you have the ability to design a layout or template. Because most authors have a regular writing style, it’s a good idea to have a template that you can use to fill in fresh information as you need to. In order to develop your own template, you must first assess your writing style or the way you organize your information. As a prolific blogger, you can’t afford to squander time every time you start a new blog article by generating a simple outline for it beforehand.

5. Stay focused

It’s easy to become sidetracked in this day of information overload. Do you find yourself spending countless hours on social networking sites as a result of your thoughts? If you answered yes, you must make some significant adjustments to your way of life. Productive people understand how to maintain their concentration and avoid distractions. While it is perfectly OK to watch movies or browse social media, you should avoid allowing these distractions to undermine your productivity. If you want to get the best possible outcomes from your blogging, avoid becoming distracted.

Make tiny, attainable objectives for yourself.

6. Be a lifelong learner

There is no shortcut for new bloggers; there is a steep learning curve that they must navigate. It’s undoubtedly a misconception to expect that your blogging abilities will improve as a result of your continued participation. The internet is always evolving at a breakneck pace; anything that is important now may become obsolete tomorrow. As a result, if you want to stay on top of the latest fashion trends, you must constantly educate yourself. Keep in mind that while getting up to speed on the current blogging trends is critical to your success, you should also work on improving your writing abilities.

“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the resources) to write,” argues Stephen King, a well-known American author.

“It’s as simple as that.” The reason that the majority of bloggers fail to attain success is that they are poor readers. Fortunately, having a strong desire to learn and being interested about what you are learning may have huge consequences.

7. Keep things simple

Bloggers frequently begin a piece of writing with one concept, only to end it with a completely other one. When producing long-form content, it is easy for authors to lose sight of the overall message. Keeping things basic and straightforward makes it easier to connect concepts that are otherwise disparate. Your content ideas must be cohesive in order for you to be able to develop something that is both coherent and well-directed. In many cases, starting with the most challenging duties might be a wise decision.

Consider this: If you’re creating a blog article from the beginning, start with the section that you’re most enthused about.

Important Pointers for Creating Better Blogs Using These Writing Techniques

8. Manage your time efficiently

Improving your time management abilities allows you to improve your overall performance while putting forth fewer efforts to accomplish your desired objectives more quickly. Failure to effectively manage one’s time results in an imbalance between work and life, a lack of focus, unwelcome stress, and poor job quality. It should go without saying that lost time can never be recovered.

9. Use analytics to track your performance

The internet makes it simple to keep track of how many people have visited your blog and how many of them have really read it. Bloggers that are productive take the time to see what their readers are interested in and respond to. Your readers’ origins, the search engine or device they’re using, and the search phrases (keywords) they use to reach your material on search engine results pages (SERPs) may all be determined utilizing analytics.

10. Update your existing content

Bloggers frequently ignore the importance of reusing their content. It is possible to take an existing blog article and reuse it in order to produce something completely different and fascinating. For example, choose one of your most popular blog posts and create a video out of it, or transform your videos into blog posts to increase your exposure. It will help you realize the full potential of your material. It’s also a good idea to keep previous blog entries up to date and to promote them. If you edit a blog article that failed last year, it has the potential to go popular this year.

Do not forget to market your old blog entries on social media when you have finished updating them, just as you would advertise your new blog posts.

Wrapping up

Bloggers must genuinely like what they do in order to be successful. When you write because you like it, your material reflects the enjoyment that exists within you. It is never too late to adjust your focus and work on something more fascinating if you are bored or finding a certain expertise challenging.

Bloggers who spend an excessive amount of time contemplating a topic are less likely to follow through on it. To summarize, don’t keep your thoughts in your head for too long; start putting them into words in a pleasant way right away. The most important takeaways

  • Make your social media profiles more visible and effective
  • The ability to maintain consistency is essential for progress. Increase your website traffic and keep it
  • Increase the amount of visual content
  • Write in-depth blogs that provide solutions to difficulties. Write in a casual, conversational style

If you’re serious about being a successful blogger, you should follow these simple steps. To summarize, establish your passion, design an effective approach, and begin writing if you want to become a more prolific blog writer. “Getting started is as simple as stopping chatting and getting to work.” — The Walt Disney Company

10 ways to be a more productive blogger in 2022

Do you want to fulfill your blogging objectives by the year 2022? Want to get more done on your blog in less time? Here’s how. Here are some suggestions for being a more effective blogger in 2022. How did the year 2021 go for you? Did you achieve all of your blogging objectives? Have you accomplished what you set out to do, and then some? Did you achieve your financial objectives? Was your blog as successful as you had hoped? My bet is that, if you’re like most bloggers, you answered ‘no’ to at least some of these questions.

  • So, what was it that held you back?
  • Is this, however, the primary reason?
  • Did you make the most of every second of available time?
  • That last question, I believe, would be answered affirmatively by all of us (including myself!).
  • ), but all too frequently that time is wasted on time-wasters, daydreaming, not quite getting down to business, ‘nice to do’ but not vital tasks, and – yep – using social media!
  • Consider how much more you COULD do in 2022 if you were more productive now.
  • If you were more organized and on top of things, what would you do?

1. Set goals!

It’s great to be really prolific, but what exactly are you productive at? Being super-efficient with your time is meaningless if you don’t have any goals to work towards. You have the ability to be incredibly organized and adept at time management. However, if you are engaging in the WRONG activities, you are not being productive at all! In order to be genuinely productive, you must first establish your objectives. What do you hope to achieve by the year 2022? You must devise a strategy for achieving your objectives after you have established your objectives.

You can then use all of the other recommendations in this post to your action plan in order to ensure that you complete those tasks as fast and effectively as possible once you have created an action plan. READ ON FOR MORE INFORMATION Bloggers should set goals for themselves in 2022.

2. Have a content plan

Your blog material will be one of the most important factors in achieving your objectives in 2022. Publishing the appropriate blog posts at the appropriate time will aid in the growth of your site as well as the expansion of your blogging revenue. You must prepare your content in order to ensure that your blog entries contribute to the achievement of your objectives in 2022. Examine each of your objectives in turn, and determine what type of material you will need to publish on your blog in order to achieve that objective.

To successfully launch a product, you will need to write pieces that demonstrate your expertise on the subject matter of your product while also driving sales of your product through social media.

You’ll also want to think about seasonal possibilities (Christmas, Easter, Black Friday, and so on) and make sure your categories are balanced (essential for SEO purposes, of course).

In this way, you can plan when you will publish all of these different sorts of blog articles and make sure that you take full advantage of seasonal chances.

3. Check email and social media less often

Approximately how many times a day do you check your emails and social media accounts? If you are like the majority of people, the response is ‘all of the time.’ The trouble with this is that it has a significant negative impact on your productivity. You go to the notification center every time a new notification is received. It takes a few minutes to deal with whatever has triggered the alert, and while you are there, you are frequently distracted by other things. Even if you don’t become distracted, it might have a negative impact on your productivity.

The continual interruption of new alerts results in the need to restart your present task, resulting in the brain spending significantly more time than necessary in the first warm-up phase of action.

Check your emails and social media once or twice a day instead of continually monitoring them for new messages and updates.

Not only will you be able to complete your writing tasks much more rapidly since you will be free of distractions, but you will also be able to get through your inbox and social media lot more swiftly and effectively.

4. Stop trying to multi-task

On the same vein, refrain from attempting to multitask! When it comes down to it, no one genuinely multi-tasks; instead of claiming to be multi-tasking, what you are actually doing is darting between several pursuits at breakneck speed. Moreover, guess what? When you are darting between things at a breakneck pace, your brain is continuously having to re-acclimate to each activity every time you take it back up. Therefore, rather than increasing your productivity, multitasking actually decreases it — since you spend so much time in the warm-up period, every action takes significantly longer.

True productivity can only be achieved by focusing on a single activity at a time.

If you’re still not persuaded, give it a go!

If I try to multitask, I get FOUR times as much done than if I just focus on one thing at a time.

5. Only have open what you are currently working on

Keeping just the tabs and documents open on your computer that you ACTUALLY NEED OPEN in order to complete the work at hand is a simple, yet extremely efficient productivity “hack.” Everything should be shut down. It will take just a few seconds to ensure that you are not disturbed by alerts or sidetracked by the unexpected recall of something you had planned to perform. Instead, you will be able to devote your entire attention to the one task that you are now working on.

6. Write an effective to do list

Creating a thorough to-do list is another great method of increasing your productivity. Make sure you don’t have a big list of’stuff to do’ that keeps growing as time goes on and from which you pick and choose things at random. This can lead to frustration. Instead, create a detailed to-do list for each day of the week. Make sure that your daily to-do list is concise and manageable, and that you stick to it. You should make it a point to accomplish your daily to-do list on a daily basis. In addition, make your to-do list the night before — this will allow you to get right to work when you get up in the morning, rather than wasting time ‘procrasti-planning’ and monitoring social media for the first hour of your day before getting down to the business of getting things done!

Make the first item on your list the most essential thing, then the second most important thing, and so on.

7. Put it off until tomorrow!

This brilliant advice comes from Mark Forster’s excellent bookDo it tomorrow*, which I highly recommend. I think this seems like a book about how to procrastinate effectively! However, it is actually a fantastic book that teaches readers how to be more productive and how NOT to postpone. New work that lands on our desks each day is one of the most detrimental factors to our productivity. As humans, we have a proclivity to become sidetracked by the ‘new shiny thing’ and believe that we are being really productive by ceasing what we are doing and focusing on the new work (which is then likely to get interrupted by the next new task and so on).

Instead, Forster recommends simply adding these additional jobs to tomorrow’s to-do list and continue with the work at hand until the new chores are completed.

You may then make plans for the next day, taking into consideration the additional chores that have been added.

The ability to see things from a different viewpoint will help you to plan a productive day rather than reacting constantly.

8. Write down every time you get distracted

This productivity trick has really transformed my life! Draw a line across everything on your daily to-do list. Every time you complete a task that was not on your to-do list, make a note of it beneath the line. Also provide the amount of time you spend on the activity. The following is an example of what could be written:

  • Facebook 20 minutes
  • General faffing/daydreaming 10 minutes
  • Researching’sudden brainwave’ 15 minutes
  • Checking statistics 5 minutes
  • Facebook 20 minutes 10 minutes spent reading the news

This is quite effective for two reasons. As a starting point, you will have an instant visual representation of how much time you are spending and how much time you are actively completing what you set out to achieve (which in itself is a real eye-opener). Second, you will begin to pause and consider whether it is necessary to perform something that is not on your to-do list. The very idea that you will be required to write it down will motivate you to avoid wasting time in the process. Furthermore, if you do become distracted, it will serve as a powerful motivator to return to the work at hand.

9. Write everything down that needs to be done

Another issue that prevents us from being productive is the sheer amount of information we have stored in our minds. The concept of writing down everything is something I learned from David Allen’s book, Getting Things Done*. His claim is that the greater the amount of information we retain in our brains, the less capacity we have for processing. To put it another way, the more information we keep in our minds, the less effective we become. Most of the time, we utilize our brains as storage units, storing all kinds of ‘things to do’ in them and so impairing our capacity to think clearly.

Having everything written down also makes it easier to comprehend what has happened and to make sound judgments about what should be done with it moving forward. We may come back to our objectives and determine whether or not the actions in question are worthwhile endeavors.

10. Create process checklists for the things you do often

We all have things that we participate in on a consistent basis. Writing a blog article is the most obvious example of this. This is something that we, as bloggers, do on a consistent basis. However, our routine procedures are frequently one of our least productive areas of operation. Our presumption is that we “know” how to create a blog post, thus we don’t feel the need to write anything else on our to-do list other than the words “write blog post.” Writing a blog article, on the other hand, is a time-consuming procedure that involves several processes.

Just think about the amount of time you’ve wasted debating on what to do next.

Creating a process checklist for each routine multi-step task you have to perform simplifies these procedures, saves you a significant amount of time, and guarantees that you don’t have to go back into a post every time you recall anything.

10 simple yet powerful tips to help you become a productive blogger

Many productivity tips will be shown in this post, which may be used by anyone to get started blogging immediately. You’ll be well on your way to becoming a better blogger in no time if you follow all of the suggestions below.

1. Define your niche

If you do not choose a field in which you desire to write, your blog will be doomed before it has ever gotten off the ground. Every successful blogger has a certain area of expertise. That is not to indicate that you cannot write on a variety of themes; rather, it simply implies that you have a variety of niches. It is quite OK for not everyone to be aware of their specialty or specialization. You could want to look into the how to start a blog rules to discover a specialty, or you could simply start writing and see what comes naturally.

Making yourself an expert in the field in which you are speaking might be beneficial.

2. Create outlines for every article

When it comes to blogging productivity tips, nothing beats the simple act of planning each and every post before you begin writing it. Before your fingers even contact the keyboard, you will have time to compose your ideas, which will allow you to write more quickly in general. Disorganization is a certain method to become unproductive in a short period of time. Get your hands on the research materials and links you will need ahead of time so that you don’t have to waste time looking for them when you are trying to write.

This will assist you in providing a broad direction for the article you write and will help to keep your mind organized.

3. Write incrementally

The most essential thing to remember is to avoid exhausting oneself too quickly. It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the topic(s) you are considering writing about when you first start a new blog, no matter how exciting the prospect of beginning one is. In order to avoid writer’s burnout, the most straightforward answer is to never stop writing. That, on the other hand, appears to be paradoxical. Writing consistently and writing excessively are two very different things. You must write as much as you possibly can, but you must not go overboard.

Determine how many blog articles you can complete in a day or week and adhere to your schedule. Please feel free to increase your word count over time as your blogging skills improve and your experience grows more extensive. Don’t try to take on too much on the first day of school.

4. Publish consistently

You must publish on a consistent basis, just as you must write on a constant basis. When you first start blogging, you will be the only person who is looking forward to your work being published on the internet. Once you start attracting a large number of people, though, everything changes. At that moment, you will be writing for an audience other than yourself for the first time. You will be writing for an audience that is looking for information. Decide on a day or a few days in advance that you will publish and stick to your timetable.

5. Repurpose old topics

The notion that one must be completely original has never been established. One of the most effective methods of avoiding writer’s block or burnout is to recycle previously published work. This does not indicate that you should just republish everything you have previously posted, but rather that you should revisit an earlier topic and write a piece that is comparable to it. Example: If you write about the planet Mars or interplanetary travel, you might write about them for years before running out of ideas.

It’s quite unlikely that you’ll be able to consume all of the information in your chosen field.

6. Don’t be afraid to write in advance

Seriously. Preparing ahead of time can save you both time and worry in the long run. Many bloggers wait until the day before publication to complete their work, which leaves them with little time for editing, much alone enough time to compose a worthwhile article. There are a variety of reasons for posting ahead of time. It has the potential to save your skin, but the most important thing to remember is that life occurs. Various circumstances will unavoidably arise that prevent you from publishing an article on the day it is scheduled to be published.

If you have the time and energy to devote to it, try to complete an essay one week ahead of time.

7. Save any page of interest to you

Seriously. It is possible to save both time and tension by planning ahead of time. When many bloggers wait until the day of publication to produce their work, they have little time for editing, much alone enough time to write a worthwhile article. Publishing ahead of time has a number of benefits. It may be able to preserve your skin, but the most important thing to remember is that life will continue to occur. Various circumstances will unavoidably arise that prevent you from finishing an article on the day it is scheduled to be published.

Because you are using the little productivity hack of writing ahead of time, you will be able to cope with whatever comes up while also finishing your essay and publishing it. Try to complete an essay one week ahead of time, if you have the time to devote to it.

8. Find a style guide

For your blogging, you will need to develop a distinct voice and style. Do you want to write in the first person or the third person? Is it possible to speak in the third person? What type of blogger do you are? Do you write long-form essays or short-form articles? The earlier you identify these elements, the more likely it is that your blogging career will be more productive throughout the writing process. Look for inspiration by visiting other websites that keep up with the latest fashion trends.

Among the many resources included is a thorough list of the most popular blogging genres, as well as samples of the work of experienced players whose work may serve as a spur to your own imagination.

Nobody knows for certain why this is happening.

The most crucial aspect of being effective is to utilize your natural abilities.

9. Download a better notes app

So, if you’re out in the world and you have a wonderful idea, what are you going to do if you don’t have access to your computer? While the basic note-taking applications are adequate for bloggers, there are superior options that may allow you to more efficiently merge all of your thoughts into a single workspace. To that purpose, consider software such as Notion, which can serve as both a to-do list and a note-taking tool in one package. For maximum productivity, download programs on your phone that will assist you in your blogging career no matter where you are in the globe to make your time more productive.

  1. In the last couple of years, social media has become significantly more important in the world of blogging than it was previously.
  2. However, you don’t want to spend too much time on social media marketing when you could be spending your time on actual writing.
  3. Make use of the auto-scheduling capabilities available on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.
  4. Allow yourself to spend no more than a few minutes every day setting up those postings.

How to Become a Productive Blogger in 5 Easy Steps • The Blog Dept.

Bloggers must be productive in order to be successful – at the very least, if they want to be successful. Bloggers are involved in a wide range of activities that extend far beyond simply sitting down at a desk (wherever that may be for you) and creating blog entries. How can you become a productive blogger when you have to deal with writing, proofreading, photographs, promotion, an email list, and everything else that goes along with it? It takes a lot of effort. And this is all before you consider the demands that exist outside of the realm of expanding our blogging company.

These five steps will assist you in being a prolific blogger who works effectively and with clarity of thought.

How to become a more productive blogger – some awesome hacks!

You’re probably dealing with a lot of the same issues I’ve been dealing with (and perhaps much more so if you have children around). It was as a sort of side employment that I began my blogging career. As soon as I got home from my full-time job each night, I spent a couple of hours working on my blog. Is any of this sounding familiar to you or where you’re at right now? The good news is that I’ve discovered several methods for increasing productivity, and I’m happy to share them with you. If you can adopt even a couple of these productivity hacks, you will see significant improvements in your productivity.

1. Determine and Set Goals

There will always be a laundry list of things you might be doing, things you should be doing. but what is the ultimate purpose here? Example: If you want to increase the number of subscribers to your email list, you may focus on increasing the number of opt ins and getting a certain number of subscribers each month. The establishment of short-term and long-term objectives can assist you in better planning what you should be doing in order to concentrate on tiny chores that add up to significant progress.

2. Make a Plan

If you’re anything like me, you have a million things to do, and they’re all jumbled up in your thoughts. You are unable to think properly, and you are unsure of where to begin with your tasks. It just becomes worse the more you think about it, since the more overwhelmed you become. This is when careful preparation comes in helpful. Some people call it mental mapping, while others (like myself!) prefer to simply write down a long to-do list of everything that has to be done in order to complete a project.

3. Create a Schedule

It is necessary to put in the effort to make a timetable for yourself if you are like me and become overwhelmed when you sit down to work without a plan (no condemnation here. it is really common!). Being a blogger necessitates a level of self-discipline that many individuals are not accustomed to having to exercise. If you’re accustomed to having a manager who creates your schedule and informs you of when and what you’ll be doing at work, you could find it difficult to adjust to the idea of having to handle this for yourself.

Knowing what your intentions are, what the next step is, and what you need to get done can assist you in accomplishing your goals at all times.

Initial assessments of your work capacity may leave you uncertain about how much work you can complete in a day. Simply assign yourself a duty to complete on a daily basis. Here’s an illustration:

  • Monday: Write a few of blog entries in bulk
  • On Tuesday, I’ll photograph photographs for blog postings. On Wednesday, make edits to blog post photos
  • On Thursday, finalize blog posts
  • On Friday, schedule social media postings.

Write it out in a planner

Some people get a great deal of joy from making to-do lists and crossing items off as they finish each activity on their list. You’ll probably prefer drafting a weekly list in a paper planner if that’s the case for you, though.

Schedule your work digitally

If you feel like you need a digital tool to organize your calendar, check out Taskade– It is particularly well suited for digital planning. Creating daily chores, organizing them, leaving yourself notes — everything you require – is possible. I prefer this system over other similar systems available on the market (such as Trello or Asana), which are also available. It appears to be more organized, and I appreciate the pre-made templates for various jobs.

4. Manage Your Time

You probably don’t have a lot of spare time right now, especially if blogging is a part-time job for you at the moment. You’ll have to learn to manage your time and allocate your resources effectively. Using all of the productivity techniques I’ve shown so far will significantly improve your performance in this area. There are, however, various options available to you.

Batch Your Work

Batching is an excellent method of getting a lot of work done fast. By hyper-concentrating on a single sort of activity (for example, writing a blog post – no formatting, graphics, SEO, or anything else), you may complete a large amount of work in a short period of time.

Set a Timer

Are you as engrossed in Facebook and your email as I am in these activities? Schedule 30 minutes of work, work until the timer goes off, and then treat yourself with 5-10 minutes of social media, email, or whatever else you find to be a distraction from your task.

5. Make Blogging part of your routine

It doesn’t take long to form a habit of doing anything, and blogging should become a regular part of your schedule. If it’s a regular part of your routine on particular days of the week, you’ll be able to concentrate and complete the task at hand without being distracted by other prospective activities. Treat it as if it were a business. Make it a priority in your life.

How to Be a More Productive Blogger in 15 Easy Steps

Do you want to know how to become a more effective blogger? Blogging is a form of expression. If you want to call it that, it’s a game. Alternatively, a rollercoaster. In reality, there are a plethora of ways to characterize the experience of blogging. Whatever type of blogger you are (travel, motherhood, or food), every person’s journey is unique and individualistic. Everyone will have their own high peaks and low moments, as well as joys and disappointments. However, when it comes to productivity, it is simple to become demotivated or to look at a blank Google Doc, and as a result, you may find yourself checking virtually nothing off your list.

You could wake up one day in a really productive mood and do a slew of tasks; the next day, you might find it difficult to write even a single sentence.

It would be a blatant lie for me to claim that I had not visited the location.

In other words, if you’ve been trying to find the desire to ramp up your blogging output to the next level, you’ll be glad to hear that just a few little tweaks may make all the difference! Here are 15 simple tips to help you become a more effective blogger! 1.

how to be a more productive blogger

Resist the temptation to spend the day in your jammies or to work from your bedroom. A natural association between pajamas and bed is one of relaxing, doing nothing and sleeping! As a result, sitting in that comfortable, joyful environment when you have work to complete will just sabotage your productivity from the beginning! Instead, get out of bed and dress as if you were going to work. Shower, put on your clothes, wash your hair, brush your teeth, and locate a quiet place to work where you won’t be distracted by too many things.

If it is not possible, I have found that sitting at the dining room table may generate an environment that is just as effective.

Treat Your Blog Like A Business

Now, where you see your blog after a few years is totally dependent on your personal preferences. In the event if you’re fine with writing for pleasure and keeping a blog as a hobby, none of this will apply to you. But. Like a blogger who hopes to one day make a livelihood from his or her blog, you need to approach it as a business from the beginning. If you look hard enough, I believe you’ll be hard pressed to find a single successful entrepreneur who didn’t have to work their tails off to get where they are now.

Accept that it will take effort, that you will not become famous instantly on the internet, and that it will not always be straightforward.

If you want to be a more productive blogger, consider your blog to be a small business with customers and employees.

Schedule, Schedule, Schedule!

The importance of scheduling your blog cannot be overstated! Moreover, I’m not referring just to blog postings here! You’ll also need to figure out what days you should write blogs and how often you should post them, as well as when you’ll send out social media material and when you’ll send out newsletters through email. Then there’s the issue of really sticking to it, which is why I always recommend creating a timetable. It’s impossible to be more productive as a blogger if you don’t know what you’re going to write and when you’re going to post it.

This will result in you continuously feeling behind, and eventually the tension will cause you to want to give up completely.

If possible, schedule at least a week’s worth of blog entries ahead of time using a platform like WordPress.

Believe me when I tell that having things scheduled will have a significant positive impact on your productivity levels.

Invest in a Comfortable Chair

Despite the fact that this may seem simple, I used to work in an office with seats that were unbearably uncomfortable. The seats were comfortable at first, but after a few of hours of sitting in them, they began to pain my back severely. That would then lead to me seeking for any possible reason to get up, walk around, make a cup of coffee, and otherwise get out of that chair! Invest in a comfortable chair with sufficient lumbar support if you want to be a more productive blogger.

This will allow you to sit in the chair for long periods of time without becoming uncomfortable, which will make you a more prolific blogger. Even while it will be more expensive than a typical office chair, the results will be immediate and well worth the investment!

Write in Blocks

Have you ever experienced a case of writer’s block? Have you ever had a fantastic idea for a new blog article, only to find yourself looking blankly at the computer screen with no words coming to mind? Or have you ever had one of those articles where you can write the first half with relative ease, but struggle to complete the rest? Once again, I completely understand! In order to overcome this, I propose that you write your blog entries in sections. Identify the most appropriate title (along with relevant keywords, of course!).

Then go back and fill in the gaps in the remainder of the information!

Hide Your Phone

Is it possible that you’ve ever been stuck in a rut as a writer? What if you have an excellent article concept, but you find yourself gazing at a blank screen with no words coming to mind? This is a common occurrence for bloggers. You’ve probably had articles where you can easily write half of them but struggle to complete them. I completely get what you’re saying! Write your blog entries in sections rather than in one long paragraph to avoid this problem. Identify the most appropriate title (along with relevant keywords, of course).

then go back and fill in the gaps with further information As soon as the subheadings are in place, I always find that the words flow a lot more freely than if I try to write the entire piece in one sitting.

Write a Realistic To-Do List

The best lists are the ones that I can’t stop making, and I use them for almost everything! It is unquestionably preferable to have a list of things, whether it is the greatest destinations to visit this year or the weekly grocery list. One of the most important aspects of being a more prolific blogger is being able to keep organized. Personally, I believe that making a to-do list is the most effective method of accomplishing this. The secret to drafting an efficient to-do list, on the other hand, is to keep it as realistic as possible.

  • Afterwards, you’ll find yourself perpetually behind schedule, which will result in demotivation and a lack of productivity.
  • It is possible that you may wind up postponing and doing far less than you are capable of!
  • As a result, there are several different sorts of to-do lists that I recommend creating.
  • Once you’ve completed your monthly to-do list, you may start working on your weekly list by pulling items from it.

Then, choose items from your weekly to-do list to complete on a daily basis. Remember to keep your expectations in line with what you are realistically capable of doing in that time period.

Break Tasks Down by Day

You might be wondering what the most effective method is for breaking down the items on your to-do list by day. This is totally dependent on how well you do in your job. If you’re the sort of person who prefers to concentrate on a single activity every day, I recommend breaking down the chores into days. Examples include producing fresh content on Monday, revising those posts and scheduling them on Tuesday, working on email list giveaways on Wednesday, and other similar activities. The possible drawback of this is that you may become bored with the same work repeated over and over throughout the day.

  1. If this occurs, there is no reason to feel embarrassed about altering things up and changing the days – after all, it is your schedule!
  2. You could, on the other hand, choose a completely different working technique in which you schedule time for certain activities in hourly or two-hourly increments.
  3. Working in this manner will provide you with a range of duties spaced out throughout the course of a single day.
  4. Also, if you’re anything like me, and you despise leaving things undone, it may be difficult to put a task on hold beyond the allotted time has expired.
  5. However, no matter what your working style is, breaking projects down is unquestionably one of the most effective techniques to become a more prolific blogger.

Close Your Emails

Emails, just like social media, have the potential to lead you down a rabbit hole of information. Many hundreds of messages from readers, blog comments, requests, and a slew of other things may be waiting for you when you wake up in the morning. Furthermore, fresh emails might keep pinging in your inbox throughout the day, diverting your attention away from the work at hand. As a result, the simplest method to prevent being distracted is to set out a specific amount of time each day to look through your emails and then close the tab for the remainder of the day.

It is very possible that going through your emails may take much longer than you anticipated.

Also, make sure that the email tab in your browser is closed while you’re working on it.

Create an Editorial Calendar

This may appear to be similar to the process of scheduling your material, but how will you know what to schedule if you don’t know what you’re going to schedule? Whenever possible, I work from an editorial calendar that I create at least three months in advance. As a result, I am always aware of what I need to be working on, and I always have content ideas prepared and ready to go. Consider the following scenario: If I’m going to be generating Christmas content, I know I’ll need to have it ready far earlier than December in order to have any chance of ranking on Google before the holiday season really begins.

You’ll be aware of what’s going out and when it’s going out; you’ll be able to keep track of things and ensure that you don’t fall behind. To be a more productive blogger, it is critical to plan what you will be working on, to create an editorial schedule and to adhere to that calendar.

Take a Break

If you’re not planning your content, you’re not going to know what to schedule, and you’re not going to know what to schedule if you’re not planning it. Editorial calendars are usually planned at least three months in advance, and I work off of them exclusively. As a result, I am always aware of what I need to be working on, and I always have content ideas prepared and ready to share. Consider the following scenario: If I’m going to be generating Christmas content, I know I’ll need to have it ready far earlier than December in order to have any chance of ranking on Google before the holiday season starts.

You’ll be aware of what’s going out and when it’s going out; you’ll be able to keep track of things and avoid falling behind schedule.

Sometimes Change the Scenery

Even if you have a fantastic home office, there are times when you simply need to shake things up a little. The monotony of working in the same place might leave you yearning for variety. Sitting in the same room day after day might lead to a natural state of restlessness, which is quite normal. So, if you find yourself feeling this way, take a break and get away from your routine. Make use of the available space by taking your laptop downstairs and working in the dining room; visiting a nearby coffee shop and working there (but remember to keep secure with a VPN if you’re using public WIFI); or even working in the garden for some fresh air and sunshine!

Have Some Me Time

I’m sure a lot of bloggers would be guilty of this since I was at the beginning of my blogging career! To put it another way, consider the typical office job. You’d work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., then go home, eat dinner, and then forget about work for the rest of the night. In contrast, when you work from home, it might be quite tempting to return to your computer after supper and continue working until the wee hours of the morning! This is, in my opinion, a really awful idea! In order to become a more prolific blogger, it is necessary to set aside some time for oneself.

The evening is a crucial time to call it a day and take some time for yourself, whether that’s spending time with your family, relaxing and watching television, or reading a book.

Set Goals!

Now, I enjoy setting myself objectives, which is similar to making lists, and I believe it is one of the most effective things you can do to become a more prolific blogger. It’s important for me to set a goal for myself at the beginning of each month, and then to measure my progress toward that goal at the conclusion of each week. I’ve also set myself certain objectives for the end of the year. The fact that you have something to strive towards will always motivate you to work more, especially if the final goal is something that would make you really happy!

Obviously, you must ensure that your objectives are attainable; otherwise, you will be dissatisfied. Setting goals, on the other hand, might be one of the most effective things you can do for your own personal motivation as well as for your blog.

Believe in Yourself

It is critical to have confidence in oneself. A lot of people forget about it, which is unfortunate. It’s important to know that you will have setbacks and that you will encounter obstacles. Keep in mind that blog traffic fluctuates on a regular basis and will not always be at its peak! It is possible for unexpected occurrences to have a negative impact on your site, whether they be Google or social media changes, or events taking on around the world. The fact is, though, that you have no influence over these events.

If you want to be a more productive blogger, don’t obsess on your traffic all of the time; don’t become discouraged if things suddenly deteriorate; and never lose faith in your ability to go to where you want to go.
