How To Get Your First 100 Email Subscribers
When it comes to communication, email is far more reliable than social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. People may not be logging on to Facebook as frequently as they once did, or they may have decided to discontinue their Twitter account completely. When it comes to email marketing, you have a dedicated route to communicate with your audience that does not change as frequently as social media platforms. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE SLIDESHARE: (Based on the previous years’ results) Email will outlast any social media platform by a long shot.
Whether you’re running a campaign for your e-commerce business or you’ve posted new information to your website that you want your audience to view, direct email may be quite beneficial in your overall connection with your target audience.
So, what is the best way to increase your email subscriber base?
1. Give away something.
In return for an email address, you may provide something of value. To gain more subscribers, you should be able to offer your content by email. This may be a white paper, a collection of royalty-free images, a t-shirt, or anything else that makes sense for your firm. When collecting email addresses, be certain that you have the required permissions (e.g., an opt-in) from the recipients.
2. Use all the copy available to you.
Many internet articles will include a line of text beneath the headline — this is known as the byline — and it is the author’s name. It’s an excellent place to provide a service, such as notifying readers when new entries are published. When someone signs up for the updates, they are indicating that they are willing to receive your emails. This is comparable to the Instagram post notifications tool, which allows users to be informed when a certain person posts something on the social media platform.
3. Use a widget.
Every page should have a specific area for collecting email subscribers, and this is a good thing. It is possible that you may opt to utilize a widget on the sidebar of your page to request emails. However, if you have a substantial amount of material, that region will be removed when people scroll down to continue reading your post farther down the page. Make the widget stand out from the rest of the screen to ensure that it receives the most attention possible.
4. Use tools.
Are you familiar with the tools available on websites? Try our favoriteOpt-In monster, a collection of tools designed to harvest email addresses. With opt in monster orsumome, you have a plethora of possibilities for expanding your mailing list. Listed below are a few suggestions. A careful line must be tread when it comes to the use of these instruments. Overuse may be perceived as obtrusive, resulting in a poor view of the user.
- Make it a selectable option from the drop-down menu. If you have a thorough understanding of how your website’s visitors go around it, you may be able to capitalize on this significant potential. This strategy is most effective when used in conjunction with the method of giving something away. Subscribers may be collected through other means as well if you have a link to your giveaways in your menu
- Content-specific extras (optional). Once again, this approach is most effective when paired with the availability of something to give away. But that give away must be related to the reason the visitor is on that specific page in the first place – for example, you may have written a fantastic article, taken some intriguing photographs, and created an instructional guide. You may increase the number of individuals interested in hearing what you have to say by making your material coherent and valuable for readers, as well as offering a bonus that builds on what you’ve written
- This is known as the welcome gate. The gate, which is typically displayed to first-time users to a website, is a subscription box that loads before the webpage is displayed. You may customize the gate so that it appears in front of any page that a new visitor views, or it can just appear on the homepage, depending on your requirements. In addition, you are not required to make a donation in order to participate in this. Clearly declare what you want to give to the reader who inputs their email address, and then follow through
- This is what landing pages are for. This may be used in conjunction with other marketing methods to increase exposure. If you have a social following with whom you connect, you may advertise yourself by including a link to a landing page that requests an opt-in from the visitor. No matter if you’re offering a free gift or providing further information, you’ll be able to convert a casual audience member (for example, a Twitter follower who isn’t engaged) into an engaged audience member (one that opts in to receiving your emails.)
- Contests. Continue to convert your inactive audience members into active ones by providing them with a compelling cause to participate. As an example, you might hold a poll on your website to get feedback from your audience. In order for their vote to be counted, get their email address and obtain their consent through this way. You might also encourage more involvement by giving something free (a white paper, templates for their own use, or other such items).
No matter the technique or tips you employ, you must first and foremost attract visitors to your website.
You rely on traffic, and the conversion of that traffic into sales, just like any other firm. What strategies can you use to increase traffic?
- Make yourself the poster kid. You might have despised that one child in your class who was always the role model you were meant to emulate when you were younger, but if you can be that person, it can be really rewarding. Whenever you utilize someone else’s advise, let them know about it and tell them about the influence it has on your life. Investigate resources online, keep note of the ones you use, follow the instructions to the letter, and then notify the resource’s developer of what you did, how you did it (which should be exactly as specified in their original resource), and the impact it had. After you’ve shared your thoughts with the developer, share them with your target audience! Your readers have a right to know what makes you successful since it may be of use to them in the future. Inform the original inventor, once more, of your accomplishments and how you disseminated them to your own target audience. The original developer may choose to post your findings as an endorsement, which may assist direct visitors back to your website. The social formula is as follows: The social formula is comprised of a number of steps. It is made up of the following components: Writing your content, whether it’s a blog post or an article, or whatever matches your business needs. It has to be of high quality and of substantial length to be considered. Do your homework to find out what people are seeking for. Examine previous articles on the subject you are writing about to see if there are any comments, and make sure you answer them in your own work
- Make a list of the most popular articles on the topic of your unique content that are currently being shared the most. You may discover these on the website buzzsumo.com. If your topic was “how to boost website traffic,” you would most likely use terms like “create a website,” “increase site traffic,” and other similar phrases to describe it. Using Buzzsumo, you can see who has shared a certain post, and voila, you have discovered your target audience. After that, get in touch with them! There are a variety of approaches that may be used to obtain the email addresses of this audience. Identify the person who shared the article and let them know you were aware of it and that you’ve written content that contains additional information on the subject. Link them to your post and sit back and watch the traffic roll in Don’t be afraid to reach out. As you browse the Internet, you’re likely to come across individuals who are posting on blogs, participating in forums, and conversing with Facebook groups, all with the goal of increasing traffic to the material they’re supporting. How can you go about doing this on your own? Visitors that come to your site as a result of Facebook should be encouraged to stay. Consider the following scenario: you have a website that you would like to share with other small company owners. Investigate Facebook to see who is already in your target market, for example, groups exclusively for small company owners in a given geographic area. Join these communities and connect with them on a true level. You may also leave input on posts and comments, read what’s important to them right now via shared articles, and do other things. As you continue to interact with the community, you should start making posts of your own. You are not required to promote your website directly, but you must make a positive contribution to the group’s overall well-being. This puts you at the top of people’s minds and increases the amount of visitors to your website. However, do not spam
- You must demonstrate genuine interest in what you are saying and follow through on your promises.
Because of the large number of strategies listed above, it might be difficult to know where to begin with them. Some will be more suited for your website and email list than others, so choose wisely. Although it takes time to build an email list and drive traffic to your website, all it takes is starting with one — and perhaps only one — advice to get the ball rolling in your favor. I hope this has been of assistance. The original post may be found here.
How To Get Your First 100 Email Subscribers
One of the most important things you can do to earn a consistent income from blogging (apart from generating your own digital product) is to focus on expanding your mailing list. Once you have at least your first 100 email subscribers, your blogging career will take off. Given the fact that more than 205 billion emails are sent and received every day, it is easy to understand why your company and blog should take use of this strong and vast marketing channel. In the absence of an email list, you are missing out on a cost-efficient and highly successful method of reaching your target audience.
- Throughout this essay, I’ll explain how I make $1000 in a day using my email database.
- 2) Obtain customer loyalty and trust 3)Complete the transaction.

How do you Define High-Quality Content?
This is a rather simple process. It simply must give value to the reader’s experience, and this is the first and most critical need. After they have read your article or viewed your video, they should have learnt something new or should have learned how to perform something that they were previously unable to accomplish. Keep in mind these two important aspects of high-quality content:
- You should create material that is useful to your audience. If you are working in a certain niche, your material should be relevant to that specialty.
You’ll need to create a content plan.
Create a schedule for how often you will post new material each week or month and create a list of titles for the content that you feel will be of value to your readers. A strategy is always preferable than winging it and making things up as you go along.
When you have a strategy, you will never be at a loss for ideas since you will have already chosen what the subject of your material will be. Related Article: How to generate twice as much material in half the time!

Effective Ways To Get Your First 100 Email Subscribers
Time allotted for reading: 4 minutes Are you considering expanding your blog’s readership and developing your email list? If you’re just getting started, you know how difficult it may be to gain your first 100 subscribers. It’s also difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction when it comes to the dos and don’ts of building an email list because there is so much information available. What should I do? We’ve been there before, believe it or not! We understand how exhausting it may be to build an email list.
Hence, we’ve come to assist you in monetizing your blog while also attracting hundreds or thousands of new members to your mailing list.
I’m not sure where to begin.
Create High-Quality Content
The reason why visitors flock to your blog is because of the stuff you provide. That is the first step; you must begin posting. However, don’t go into blogging without first developing a solid content plan. You must understand who you are blogging for and what types of themes are popular in your unique industry before you begin. It would be great if you talked about things that your target audience is interested in, since this would encourage them to visit your blog. Additionally, utilize high-quality photos and proofread for grammatical problems, typos, and other issues.
When people begin to read your blog, your credibility develops as a result.
It is also crucial to consider how frequently you should publish new blog posts, since this provides readers with something to look forward to at various periods of the month.
Choose an Email Marketing Platform
Once your blog is up and running, you can start thinking about which email platform you want to utilize. In addition to MailChimp and Converkit, there are a number of other email marketing systems available, such as Constant Contact and Flodesk. While some of these email marketing platforms are well-known, not all of them are equipped with the most advanced capabilities. Avoid using a platform that has a history of poor deliverability rates or one that is difficult to utilize effectively. If an email marketing platform does not allow affiliate links, you should avoid using it.
Once you have selected an email marketing platform, you can begin building up your email campaign by creating an opt-in form and a landing page for your subscribers to visit.

Receiving spam emails is something that no one enjoys. That is why most individuals are cautious about disclosing their email addresses anywhere on the internet. They will only disclose their email address if and when they want to do so. And if you want to convince individuals to give up something as valuable as their email addresses for future marketing, you must provide them with something of value in exchange for their information. It is at this point when incentives come into play. It’s a set of freebies that you’ll give out in exchange for someone’s email address.
- Receiving spam emails is something that no one enjoys doing. The majority of individuals are cautious about disclosing their email addresses anywhere on the internet because of this risk. When they offer their email address, it will be entirely voluntary. And if you want to force individuals to give up something as valuable as their email addresses for future marketing, you must provide them with something of value in exchange for their information. It is at this point that financial incentives are introduced to the situation. In exchange for providing their email address, you will provide them with these goodies. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get anything for free
- It might be something as simple as
After deciding on the type of incentive to provide, you can begin developing a copy to go along with it. The material should be interesting, well-written, and well-designed in order to make the offer even more tempting to potential customers.
Set the Opt-In Form
Once you have finished creating the wording for your opt-in form and selecting a template, you may begin posting the opt-in form in various locations around your website, such as:
- The homepage
- The first paragraph of each blog post
- The blog sidebar
- The footer
- A welcome page
- The top navigation
To ensure that your opt-in forms receive the most exposure, we recommend placing them on your most popular web pages. Keep in mind to place the gratis offer in a prominent location on the opt-in page. You may include the offer in the header of your website, at the top or bottom of a blog post, in a notification bar, or in a pop-up form, among other places. Experiment with several arrangements to find which one generates the most number of email addresses for you.
You must advertise your email list across all available web channels in order to reach the greatest number of individuals. Due to the fact that practically everyone has a social media profile or page, social media is an excellent place to start. Some of the most effective places to market your blog are as follows:
- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are all examples of social media platforms.

When it comes to advertising your email list, there are several options available. You may provide a link to a useful blog article or a video lesson. Also available are contests, quizzes, and the ability to interact with individuals in the comments area. Don’t press for a quick sale; instead, use subtle marketing.
Easy Sign Up
Finally, and perhaps most significantly, do not need potential subscribers to go through any hurdles in order to subscribe to your mailing list. Subscribe buttons should be placed at the bottom of every blog post, as well as the top and bottom of your page. Make sure to include the necessary link in your social media bios and About Us pages. a. Ask only two questions; the fields should be kept to a minimum. Include a call to action at the end of the form. The biggest error I’ve made in terms of expanding my business has been failing to prioritize the development of my email list. Having a large and active email list is essential for practically any marketer working in almost any type of business. More lately, I’ve restructured my content approach to place a greater emphasis on email opt-ins, and things are going swimmingly. Make sure you don’t make the same mistakes I did. Here are the five techniques that have shown to be the most effective in increasing the size of my email list:
1. Create awesome content
It’s the same principle as when you produce a product that nobody uses: if you generate material that no one wants to read, nobody will read it. The foundation of every content marketing strategy is the creation of outstanding content. But what exactly does the word “amazing” mean? Excellent content, like good software, solves a problem and adds value to the lives of those who read or listen to it. Make certain that your material is relevant to your target audience, that it has attention-grabbing headlines, that it contains relevant keywords, and that it delivers genuine educational and/or entertaining value to your audience.
If you’re developing content but your email list isn’t expanding, it’s possible that you have an issue with your content.
In turn, this leads to tactic number two.
2. Share content where your audience already is
It’s the same principle as when you produce a product that nobody uses: if you publish material that no one wants to read, it will be ignored. In order for a content marketing plan to be successful, it must first and foremost be excellent! How does “great” translate into everyday language? Excellent content, like good software, solves a problem and adds value to the lives of those who read or watch it. Always make sure that your material is relevant to your target audience, that it has attention-grabbing headlines and that it contains relevant keywords, and that it actually gives educational and/or entertaining value to your audience.
If you’re providing content but your email list isn’t expanding, it’s possible that you have an issue with your content strategy.
Thus, approach number two is formulated.
3. Email opt in giveaways
Just as no one will utilize a product that no one wants to make, no one will read material that no one wants to read. The creation of amazing content is the foundation of every content marketing plan. But what exactly does the word “amazing” imply? Excellent content, like good software, solves a problem and adds value to the lives of those who consume it. Make certain that your material is relevant to your target audience, that it has attention-grabbing headlines, that it contains relevant keywords, and that it actually gives educational and/or entertaining value to your audience.
If you’re developing content but your email list isn’t expanding, it’s possible that you have an issue with content. If you’re producing excellent material but aren’t attracting email subscribers, you may be experiencing a marketing problem. This brings us to tactic number two.
4. Tools of the trade
Here are the three tools that have proven to be the most effective to me in terms of expanding my email subscriber list: As an example, a.SumoMe provides social share buttons in order to increase traffic, pop-up windows in order to gather email addresses, and other features. The Mailchimp WordPress plugin allows me to display an email optin box on every page of my site, which I find to be quite convenient. c.ConvertKit– I just began using ConvertKit to develop squeeze pages and opt-in forms, which I then embedded in my blog articles (see below) in conjunction with giveaways.
5. Guest blogging
As content creation tools becomes more affordable and user-friendly, and as content marketing becomes more popular, it is getting more difficult to reach large audiences. Fortunately, you may reap the benefits of other people’s hard work by simply guest writing on their website(s). You may instantly reach a huge number of prospective subscribers by guest posting on a site with an audience that is comparable to your own. Furthermore, when a high-page-ranking website connects to your site (a “backlink”), your page rank rises as a result.
Guest blogging is an excellent method of increasing traffic and email subscribers.

List Building 101: How to get your First 100 Email Subscribers
I believe you’ll agree with me when I say that it’s quite difficult to convert ice cold visitors into active email subscribers. And when you’re beginning from the ground up, collecting your first 100 email subscribers may seem like a hard goal to achieve in the short term. But, after all, we all have to start somewhere, don’t we? “.the money is on the list,” we’ve heard before. “.start developing your email list as soon as possible.” “.my biggest regret is that I didn’t put in enough time and effort into compiling my list.” Building an email list is one of the most profitable things you can do for your blog and business since it is the most effective approach to establish a relationship with your clients.
- Salesforce is the source of this information.
- Your visits are similar to strangers you may meet at an unplanned gathering.
- If you ever want to go on another date with them, you’ll need to gain their phone number.
- Building an email list from the ground up is no small undertaking.
- But don’t worry, I’ve got your back.
Email List Building: The biggest asset for your blog and business
You could be under the impression that list building is no longer relevant. With social media marketing being able to reach a large number of people, who even needs emails anymore, right? Wrong! In terms of connecting with your audience, email marketing is the most direct and intimate method available. As a result, it beats all other marketing channels in terms of conversion rates. According to the findings of the study, email remains the most effective mode of communication when compared to social media (Facebook, Twitter).
Why is an email list important?
Maybe you’re thinking that list building has passed the point of no return. Who even uses emails anymore, with social media marketing being able to reach a large number of people? Wrong! In terms of connecting with your audience, email marketing is the most direct and intimate method.
The conversion rate of this marketing channel beats all other marketing channels as well. If you compare email with other forms of communication, it is still the most successful, according to the study (Facebook, Twitter). OptinMonster is the source for this information.
Lastly, the most important of all – you own your list.
Neither your Facebook profile nor the people who follow you on Instagram are your property. Take, for example, the demise of MySpace as an illustration. As other social media sites arise and people migrate away from MySpace, all of your hard work and time spent growing your Myspace following will be for naught. Whether Facebook or Instagram decides to cancel your account, your following will be lost along with it. In the event that Pinterest or Twitter modify their policies, you are unlikely to have any impact, even if you have 1 million followers.
Your subscribers are members of your tribe, and they have granted you permission to communicate with them through a holy area in their inbox.

The1 mistake new bloggers make with list building
When it comes to developing their list, the most common error I see new digital marketers make is not providing individuals with a compelling reason to subscribe. This is most prevalent when a generic newsletter registration form is used in the hopes that people would sign up for it. Take a look at that form and let me know if it piques your interest. It’s possible that telling individuals they’ll receive mail every month with travel stories will not be enough to persuade them to sign up. In order to persuade them to join, you must provide a compelling incentive.
Which are offered as incentives within blog articles.
I like to place my content upgrade above the article because it is the first thing that users see when they arrive at the site.
- The middle of the post
- Below the post
- The navigation menu
- The homepage header
- The floating topbar
- The exit pop-up
In the case of a blog where you utilize content marketing to promote your company, selling content upgrades is an excellent approach to grow your email list.
How to build an email list from scratch
When you’re starting from the beginning, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the task at hand. Starting from the beginning might be really intimidating. You have the impression that you have a long climb ahead of you. We’ve all been there, so don’t be concerned. All you require is a methodical approach. Here’s a straightforward 5-step procedure for building an email list. Isn’t it true that nothing is too complicated? After going through each step in detail, you’ll be well on your way to reaching your goal of acquiring your first hundred email subscribers.
Step 1: Choose an email marketing platform
The very first thing you should do is select an email marketing platform to use. This is an absolute need. If you’re serious about growing your business through list development, you should invest in an email marketing platform that allows you to automate email distribution and manage your contacts.
For professional bloggers and small companies, here are some of the top email service providers to consider:
In fact, I’m a huge admirer of ConvertKit, and I’ve had excellent results with it. A powerful email marketing tool, it enables for simple content changes and signup forms to be implemented. Drip emails may be sent using the autoresponders that are integrated into the software. ConverKit’s email sequences and ability to separate contacts using tags are two of its most useful features, according to users. This is particularly useful for email automation since it allows you to nurture your contacts depending on their behavior and activities over time.
Although ConverKit’s pricing might be pretty expensive, it is absolutely worth it if list nurturing is something you are interested in.
When it comes to automation, ActiveCampaign and ConvertKit are very similar in their functionality. Its all-in-one email automation, sales, and customer relationship management solution distinguishes it from the competition. A popular alternative for online marketers, because to its user-friendly interface and email editor, is SendGrid. Price ranges for ActiveCampaign start at $9/month and increase in price as your subscriber list grows in size.
MailChimp is one of the most popular email marketing systems since it is free and simple to use. Their user interface is simple and easy, and it works effortlessly with WordPress, Shopify, and a variety of other content management systems. When I originally started writing, I utilized MailChimp; but, when my site evolved, I made the transition to Converkit. If you’re new to blogging and want to get your feet wet with the process of producing your first email, give MailChimp a shot. It’s free for the first 2,000 users, and the subscription plan starts at $10 a month after that point.

For the most part, they are identical in terms of functionality and are capable of performing the essential duties of email marketing.
Step 2: Create your opt-in landing page
The creation of your opt-in landing page should begin now that you’ve decided on an email marketing platform for your business. It is possible for your opt-in landing page to be a blog post or product page that includes your opt-in form. A compelling landing page has the potential to convert website visitors into passionate subscribers. Simply building a newsletter sign-up form with the words “join up for my weekly tips and techniques” will not suffice. Take your time while designing the look and content of your opt-in landing page.
- Consider the color palette while designing and laying up your website or other printed materials.
- According to the findings of this study, the colors blue, green, and purple are more appealing to women.
- When creating the content for your landing page, make sure to communicate your value proposition clearly.
- Every email service provider will offer a variety of forms for you to pick from, including pop-up, inline, and other options.
Make it simple for your readers to opt-in by requesting less information from them. All you need is a name and an email address to get started. For example, my 15 Advanced SEO Tactics may be found here. The pop-up form just asks for two pieces of information:
Step 3: Describe value in your CTA
Add personality to your CTA button by describing your major advantage in the text that appears beneath it. The key to giving value is to be of benefit to other people. If your landing page has an article on “Losing weight with a vegan diet,” your call-to-action (CTA) may be something like “Click here to get free vegan recipes booklet.” If your product is closely related to their requirements, your subscribers will perceive your material as important and beneficial to their lives. Your content asset serves as an incentive for people to provide their email address in return for your content asset.
When readers see that a content item is valuable, they are more likely to download it.
Step 4: Create a compelling content asset or offer
Before you can ask individuals for their email addresses, you must first provide them with a compelling reason to do so. You’ll have to make them an extremely tempting offer — one that they just cannot refuse. And what is an offer that you simply cannot refuse? FREE. Give them something for nothing. This can be in the form of:
- Ebook, worksheets, checklist, infographic, promise of special product discounts for subscribers, webinars, and more are all included.
Ebook, worksheets, checklist, infographic, promise of special product discounts for subscribers, webinars, and more are all available.
Step 5: Drive traffic to your opt-in landing page
Ebook, worksheets, checklist, infographic, promise of unique product discounts for subscribers, seminars
- Promise of unique product discounts for members
Increase the number of people who see the opt-in landing page as much as feasible. The third point to remember is to include internal links on your opt-in landing page as well. Analyze your current web traffic to determine which blog entries on your site are the most popular. Include a link to your new opt-in landing page in each of these postings. This helps to increase the amount of internal link juice that is spread across your website and increases the visibility of your opt-in form. That’s all there is to it, folks.
